DULUTH LAKEWALK DELIGHTS VISITORS
Rated the #2 Duluth attraction on Trip Advisor, the famous 7.25 mile Duluth Lakewalk and Boardwalk meanders along Lake Superior from the Bayfront Festival Park all the way to Brighton Beach offering beautiful scenic vistas and a multitude of points of interest. Many locals and visitors also take the shorter three mile walk which starts in Park Point. One can also start their stroll at the Cotton Mansion B&B, located just a few blocks from the 3 mile marker. The Cotton Mansion offers guests large whirlpool tubs to soak in after the walk.
A few of the highlights along the Lakewalk are: Bayfront Festival Park, the Vista Fleet cruise departing point, the historic William A. Irvin Ship, the blue Slip Bridge, Canal Park (home of wonderful restaurants and shopping), the Aerial Lift Bridge, Lake Superior Maritime Museum, the Pier, Lighthouse and ship watching, the Boardwalk, Uncle Harvey’s Mausoleum (aka “The cribs”}, Endion Station, the Northland Vietnam Veterans and Korean War Memorials, the Portland Malt Shop and Fitgers Shops, Leif Erickson Park and the Rose Gardens (where 2000 rose bushes in 99 varieties are found in the summer months) and on to Brighton Beach.
